What is the toughest division in the NFL?

I think it's the NFC south but what is everyone elses opinion?

What is the toughest division in the NFL?nba tickets

Tough question. Here is my rank

1. AFC North

2. NFC South

3. NFC East

The Bengals, Steelers, and Ravens all have legitimate shots at the division and cleveland has improved as well. The south has the best balance of teams with the Saints, Falcons, Panthers, and Buccaneers. Any division that posts Bush, Vick and Smith are ok. The east, with the exception of the eagles, has strong teams across the board. I think dallas is the best of the east with the giants second and the redskins third.

What is the toughest division in the NFL?nba fights ,nba teams

AFC South - those teams just don't like each other at all. Their games are always dogfights.
AFC West, no love there at all..
NFC South --- Go Carolina Panthers
The NFC South. We have Carolina, the chic pick to go to the Super Bowl. Tampa Bay, a team that won the division last year and did nothing to hurt themselves in the offseason. Plus, Chris Simms will only be better now that he has a whole offseason to prepare for the starting QB job. Atlanta, who many experts are picking will come back from their 8-8 season last year and who are 2 seasons removed from winning the division. And finally New Orleans, who probably will still have a losing season but will be feisty and competitive with upgrades at QB (Drew Brees) and RB (do I really have to name him?). The NFC South.
AFC North, hands down.
NFC East
NFC East.. Skins, NYG, Eagles, and Dallas are all playoff potential teams, AFC North a close second.
NFC North. Go Chicago Bears
My pick - NFC East
NFC EAST
NFC EAST-COWBOYS,EAGLES,REDSKINS could make for an interesting race
The NFC East has the most good teams (WAS, DAL, NYG), but the AFC North is hardest to pick (PIT, BAL or CIN?)
NFC East

AFC South is probably the weakest division.
It's the NFC East. Last year there were 3 teams within 2 games of each other. The other team had a lot of injuries and was in the Superbowl the year before that. You can't say that about the other divisions.

NFC South - Tampa Bay, Carolina, and maybe Atlanta should be in the playoff race. But New Orleans is gonna drag them down.

AFC West - Kansas City and Denver are some tough teams. But you don't know how good San Diego is gonna be with Phillip Rivers. And then there is Oakland dragging that division down.

The other divisions listed are basically 2 deep with their teams.
AFC East

I want to be an Nfl player what is a good positon for me now?

I am 11yrs old and 5'6 and i am also fast what is a good positon for me?

I want to be an Nfl player what is a good positon for me now?college football

You will probably end up growing so its hard to say right now. If yo have a good enough arm you could be a QB, but if your fast enough you should consider either RB or WR. Right now its too early to decide so you should do what most athletes do; play more than one position for now and find out what your best at, then decide.

I want to be an Nfl player what is a good positon for me now?nba.com ,nba teams

it depends if u get bigger or get more mucle mass if i was u i would start working out now like push ups and sit up and everything else and go to the gym when you are about 13

and work on speed. you should try to be a deffencive end or a wide out or start playing socker i know it is gay but it will help ur kicking and maybe become a kicker i always made fun of my friend because of that and now he has a schollership to play for a great collage team and also play football right now go see when sign ups are
If you have good hands, I'd say a WR, CB, S, or HB. You are probally going to be really tall if you are already 5'6, so I'd lean toward S or CB.

Tip: Get on a Pee Wee or Junior High team. Those coaches know what they're doing. They'll help you decide what position you would be suited for. Good luck and have fun!
You have to wait and see how big you get that and how fast you are will determine what position you can play.
wow do they even let you create an answers account if your'e that young

and i am getting tired of these questions

wait wtf 5'6 and your 11

you must be some type of genetically engineered super human
If you are fast, you may want to be a wide receiver or a running back.
if u r strong i would put you as safety or running back.
STOP ASKING THIS QUESTION. IT IS LIKE YOUR 5TH TIME. GET A LIFE.
yr 5'6?? holy crap thats good for u WR??

If you live in Bozeman, MT, what kind of college football and NFL football games would you most like

What are the regional games that are seen? I would assume that Bozeman would get a heavy dose of the Pac-10, Mountain West, and Big Sky in football. And I would also guess the AFC and NFC West would be big there too.

If you live in Bozeman, MT, what kind ofcollegefootball and NFL football games would you most likely to see?nba trades

Yes they would..mostyl Mountain West and Big Sky b/c of the two Montana Teams Though Montana gets its dose of Pac 10...I don't live in Bozeman...but Im a native was born there and moved when I was 6...I heard alot of things have changed there and that it's almost the biggest city(Population wise) in Montana

Who do you think is the Worst Starting Starting QB in the NFL?

I'd say Rex Grossman, because he failed to score a TD against the sorry Cardinal defense.

Or J.P. Losman because he plays for the Bills.

Who do you think is the Worst Starting Starting QB in the NFL?jerseys

I think that Mark Brunell is the worst. JP has to improve but he is not a bad QB.

Other awful and overated QB's

Roethlisberger

McNair

Vick

Culpepper

Harringtong

I guess I'd agree with Losman.

^those people mentioned had team issues (I guess mcnair's would be a lack of an explosive recieving core --plus he got hurt)

Who else thinks NFL teams should have bands and fight music?

i love listening to WVU's fight music, it always gets me pumped before the games. i just wish i had the same energy before an NFL game. who else is with me on this?

Who else thinks NFL teams should have bands and fight music?nba referee

I understand having bands at the high school andcollegelevel - they are extensions of the schools music program and active students of the school. It's not just about pumping up the crowd, it's also about showing something more than pure athletics for the school or university. Bands at the pro level would just be paid musicians without any "real" connection to the team. Fight music or theme songs wouldn't be a horrible idea, as long as they were done properly.

Who else thinks NFL teams should have bands and fight music?basketball tickets ,nba teams

no most people grow out of that by high school. I don't understand why they still have it at colleges. Very child-like I would say.
I disagree with fight songs entirely. Then again, being from Oklahoma and despising my appointed 'home turf', I don't have alot to go on. Some schools DO have cool fight songs, but I have to say if I hear "Boomer Sooner" one more time, I'll probably swallow the barrel of my 9mm. They play fight songs too often, "Boomer Loser" (as I affectionately refer to it) gets played if the head coach so much as sneezes, it's really pretty pathetic.
yea
that would defenatly bring more fans, teams having their own personal culture of fight songs, phrases, or bands would greatly improve the fan participation
Washington does have a band and fight song. Deceased owner George Preston Marshall wrote the fight song. It starts out, correct me if I am wrong,

Hail to the Redskins, hail victory, Braves on the warpath, fight for old D.C.

Don't know of any others. Before the Colts left Baltimore, the Colts band and fight song were big time.

Also, nothing like hearing,

I'm a Jay, Jay, Jay, Jayhawk from Kansas on the Kaw.
LMAO:):).....that is freakin halarious...it would be very funny and in a way pretty cool but that will most likely never happen. I wouldnt care either way if it did or not and to be honest i wouldnt mind if it did. Band members could get paid to go pro even. John Ts answer is even more halarious then your question. Stallions theory of NFL socialism states that individuality chreates a sound intricate cycle of creativity amd implementation thus allowing NFL teams to have bands and fight songs that would in the long run bring out more NFL fans.
The Redskins are the only NFL team that has a personal band. They have a fight song too, but many other teams do as well.
John T. smoke another doobie and find another website to copy and paste.
maybe detroit lions should have ted nugent come in and play--cat scratch fever ---at all the home games while the cheerleaders strut their stuf,,,hehe.
HS and College Bands are a part of tradition. Alumni and Fans at those games will cheer for the Band. They may not care for the band, but they will cheer for the schools tradition that the Band represents. In HS and College its based on tradition. In pro sports, there is very little tradition anymore due to trades. 20 years ago this would have been a novel idea, because players played for a given team for 10+ years and truly built a home there. Now, players are shipped around to fit a salary cap, so the sense of tradition is less important in a pro atmosphere. Although this could be a nifty idea, the chances of it happening are mighty slim.
I think the NFL should have trampolines randomly scattered around the feild.
I would love that! But it would never work. The NFL team owners would never put a band in seats they could be selling to fans.
I'm not a football fan but that does sound awsome never know I might start watching football if they had that
NO
Transcendentalism was a movement created to revolutionize the thought and the role of the individual in their society. The philosophers who established transcendentalism believed that the role of the individual was becoming non-existent, due to the influence of society at the time. In Ralph Waldo Emerson’s, “Self-Reliance”, and Walt Whitman’s, “I Hear America Singing”, society creates the philosophies contained in the literature.

The philosophy in Emerson’s “Self reliance” is influenced by society. In the literature Emerson gives examples of society’s behavior. He writes, “…envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide”, which reveals society’s manners. He was influenced by the acts of individuals in society who strive to be like other people. These individuals live their lives by the standards placed on them by society, and model their own behavior after other individuals. Emerson resolves his quest in defining the individual when he writes, “Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string.” Through his words he successfully defines the fundamental ideas of transcendentalism. He reveals that it is better to believe in one’s individual heart than to believe in the heart of the other individuals of society. Emerson writes his literature in order to distinguish between the differences in the mind of an individual versus the mind of all the individuals in society. These differences conclude with the idea that trusting oneself is entirely more important than giving in to the beliefs of those around you. The behavior of society creates the philosophy contained in Emerson’s “Self Reliance”.

The philosophy found in Whitman’s “I Hear America Singing” is dictated by society. Whitman gives various examples of occupations in American Society, such as carpentry, masonry, and motherhood. The mood that he creates based on his depiction of each of the individuals singing their song, reveals how he defines the individual. Whitman shows that society defines the individual by the trade in which they work. He gives the idea that through society individuals are what they do at work. Societies definition of the individual is based on their trade not who they truly are. Whitman succeeds in expressing the fundamental ideas of transcendentalism by his own definition of the society in which individuals live. He gives the idea that an individual makes who they truly are at heart, and that without the individual, society cannot exist. The society has influenced him in that he feels it focuses too much on the actual trade described, instead of the individuals that make up those trades. The beliefs of society attributed to the philosophy found in Whitman’s “I Hear America Singing”.

The role of transcendentalism was to more truly define the individual, and the role one must play in society. The philosophers of transcendentalism and their work, such as Emerson’ s “Self-Reliance”, and Walt Whitman’s, “I Hear America Singing”, were clearly influenced by the beliefs of society at the time.

Do you think that Troy Smith would make a good QB in the NFL?

he is a goodcollegeQB but experts have said that he will not be a good NFL QB.

i mean, chris wienke won the hiesman and now he is like a back-up for a back-up.

Do you think that Troy Smith would make a good QB in the NFL?nba trade

I think Troy Smith could be fairly successfull if he sticks to what he does best. He's not fast enough to be a Michael Vick type guy. Where he would have success in the NFL is on roll out passes.

Do you think that Troy Smith would make a good QB in the NFL?nba season ,nba teams

With the right team and system,Troy will be a great QB in the NFL.....alot better than that overated Vince Young. Report It

Troy Smith had a great Heisman season, but so did Eric Crouch, Charlie Ward, Gino Toretta, and Danny Weurfel. So there you go. Report It

And Lou Holtz you are a moron if you think Vince Young is overrated Report It

NO, he did not make a good QB for the BCS Championship game.
I don't think so, he does not have da passing skills and his athleticism is nowhere near a Vince Young to compensate.
nope. too small.

Who do you think will be drafted in the nfl draft 1st round?

which top teams do you think will get which player? my guess is darren mcfadden will go to cheifs or raiders. maimi might get a O-line guy. rams will get a Tight end of D-line, what do you think?

Who do you think will be drafted in the nfl draft 1st round?sports tickets

Chris Long to the Dolphins for the 1st pick

Darren Mcfadden to the Raiders

Who do you think will be drafted in the nfl draft 1st round?concert tickets ,nba teams

I personally see Jerry Jones making a move and trading with Bill Parcells for the 1st pick so they can get Darren McFadden. McFadden WILL be the 1st pick of this draft. Parcells won't be able to turn that team around with 1 draft so he will do what he can in FA, trades and the draft.

Jake Long

Chris Long

Darren McFadden

Matt Ryan

Glenn Dorsey

Every mock draft has them top 5 and I don't see it changing at all.
1.Matt Ryan (Dolphins)

2.Chris Long (Rams)

3. McFadden (Falcons)

4. Glenn Dorsey(Raiders)

5. Sedrick Ellis (Chiefs)
you have to start with the dolphins since they have the first pick. The logical choice is jake long, the ot outta michigan. But, parcells is known to make odd selections. Miami has so many holes I think you have to take the best overall player. In my mind that is Mcfadden. Even though they already have ronnie brown mcfadden and do so many things. you can draft him 1 overall, then trade with whatever team wants him the most. Maybe get more draf picks or a few solid players who can come in right away and produce.

John riggins was one of the best nfl running backs and the last great what ruuning backs why is that

are over look becase they are slow, theres white rb in d2 and 3 that didnt go d1 because there white and slow. look ath that danny white rb in d2 for nebraska d2 school nfl team should give him a chance but they prob will not because hes a slow white kid.

I dont know but i'm a white running back for my high school and i run a 4.7 40 and have a good chance at goin to d1 college. I think there should be alot more white running backs actually i dont think that race should matter in the nfl. i think it should just be how good you are not the color on your skin then people woudln't be so put down all the time.
Blacks just seem to be better skill position players, that's just how it is. There is a white RB in this years draft, does that cheer you up. Jacob Hester RB from LSU is predicted to get drafted in rounds 4-6. By the way I can barely make out what you wrote.
The NFL puts too much emphasis on 40 yard dash times. White guys don't get a chance anymore. It sucks!
Actually, the last great white running back was, Mike Alstott!

who was the last great black place kicker?!!!
I feel you,but whites do play the most important position QB...I'll settle for that.
whoa dude, slow down.

Ooh you could also throw the Green bay Packers in the mix as a good surprise as well for the same reasons as the Titans. Report It

As a Packer fan, they are surprising me every week. I didn't expect them to do this well. Next is the Lions. They are playing great and I can't wait till we play the Lions then the Cowboys the following week. This will tell everyone how good the Pack are or aren't.
The two good surprises that come to mind right off is Detroit and Cleveland.

The other end of the spectrum is New Orleans, which is turning it around in a big way now, and then there is St. Louis and San Fran. St. Louis due to injuries, I think is the primary reason, and with the 49ers I think the loss of Norv Turner and a couple of key injuries hurt them. I don't think much of Norv as a head coach (Chargers surprisingly bad), but as an offensive coordinator, I think he is one of the best in the game today.
browns lion and packers
The Lions , Browns are big surprises and the biggest disappointments are the Dolphins , Jets and Rams and Bengals and Broncos
The Detroit Lions are full of joy this year and the Miami Dolphins stink.
Surprise- Lions, Browns

Disappointment- Chargers, Rams
Ok the biggest shocker has to be the Browns cause i didnt even think they would win more than 5 games and they are about to do it (not this week though GO STEELERS lol). And the biggest disappointment is right now the Chargers cause they have all the talent on that team and cant do anything (all cause of Norv Turner). I would have said the Saints a few weeks ago but they are finally getting their **** together lol.
Browns

Packers
the team that has surprised me the most so far this season is the detroit lions.
lions are a surprise, chargers are a disappointment, along with the bears and eagles. as a bears fan i hoped they would be good, but then they named rex starting quarterback and i cried.
Up - Browns

Down - Bengals

the 2 Ohio teams records were switched in most folks prognostications.
surprises- Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Detriot

Disappiontments- San Diego, St Louis, San Fransico, Denver
Green Bay has to be the biggest surprise and San Diego would be the biggest diappointment.
the lions and rams both suprised me. lions are very good and the rams just arent what everyone expected.
The Browns.

What is the longest completed pass in NFL history? Not the pass + the following run. Just the pass?

The NFL web site lists many 99-yard pass plays but this is for the total yards gained on the play, not the pass alone. Also I am wondering if NFL quarterbacks can stand in one end zone and throw the ball between the uprights at the other end. Can they throw the ball that far?

Most of them cant throw that far. But the longest pass without the run after was 99 yards.
Passing stats are catch and run. So, unless you have film and can mark the yards, good luck, this stat will be unknown.
I don't believe that stat is kept separately.
how would we know? the nfl doesnt record that
Mots can't throw it past 65 yards, so I'd say around there...Just watch highlights from all of Randy Moss's games and find the longest one

That is a good question. Only reason I can think of is that they didn't know what the symbol would be when they made the stadium and kept it as is or they can't figure out how to do it...
They want to respect the league and not brag about them self.
Probably cuz their marketing department hasn't decided on a good logo. Honestly, Carolina blue isn't a good football color, especially if u accent it with silver and black. So you need a logo of a cat that doesn't look gay, tough to do.

I got to thinking about this a few years ago at UCLA when we had Cade McNown starting and Ryan McCann as second string. Around the same time Donovan McNabb and Steve McNair were on the scene. T.O by far
Tom Brady has never cried about anything in his whole football career, which shows what an idiot the guy who can't find his shirt is. Randy Moss cried to get out of Oakland, and look at him now? Cry babies are people that blame others for their short comings, like fans of everyone the Pats beat. I think the coach of the NY Jets is a pretty big crybaby.
Peyton Manning, when they lose he always pawns it off on someone else. I also remember back in the 2003 playoff game with Pats after they lost he made some comments saying that the Pats defensive backs had played to rough. I see a lot of Tom Brady answers out there but I dont think ive ever seeon brady whine after a game.
I will go with Tom Brady as well
i havta say cowboy vic
Thats a really tough question! I remember in the late 80's early 90's the Colts had a quarterback named Jeff George. Even Colts fans where saying that he complained to much. But I dunno! I mean that award could be given to alot of people.
Leaf is legendary
Gawd I am so sick of Cowboy Vic today....

gonna go with Peyton "cant win a game all by myself" Manning
Donvan "I get criticized because I'm black" McNabb.
Last year's Arizona Cardinals coach. That blow up by him after the lost to Chicago definitely stands out in my mind. It's funny that the beer commercials play it now.

"We let 'em off the hook!"

I laugh whenever I see it.
Keyshawn Johnson or Tiki Barber
T.O is a big crybaby but he gets the job done.
I really can't decide - T.O. - or Keyshawn.

Both have done nothing but cause problems. Although T.O. has been pretty quiet since Dallas.

Although Mark Gastineau could be thrown in as a close third!

Tom Brady. He will fold like a lawn chair this week against the Colts.

As for the question. MOST DEFINATLY L.T
T. Owens is the biggest whiner in the leauge.

Hands down, no competition. He can be #1 for this since all he wants to be is #1 anyway.
Tom Brady? He never throws any of his teammates under the bus like Mr. Commercial boy Peyton Manning does! See people, you mouth off and throw comments out there that you have nothing to back it up with, because you are jealous of Tom Brady...but...

Eric Mangini, ny jets coach.
Tom Brady. This is the easiest question I have answered today.

What does a Dime Back mean at NFL Football?

I would like to bet on NFL this season, so firstable I would like to knoe some terms.

What does a Dime Back mean at NFL Football?nba mvp

Dime Back

The second extra, or sixth total, defensive back. Named because a dime has the same value as two nickels.

What does a Dime Back mean at NFL Football?nba trades ,nba teams

when there are 3 defensive back's on the field it is a formation commonly refered to as Nickel form (3 db's + 2 safeties). the dime back is the 4th db in any formation. the term dime comes from the fact that he is another db, so if the 3rd is the nickel, two nickels equal a dime.
it means ur playing the run

Where can I find a 2007 NFL Fantasy Football KEEPER LEAGUE player ranking list?

I know where to find normal player rankings (Yahoo's Big Board, ESPN, etc) - but I am in a keeper league and would like a 2007 list that ranks NFL players for keeper fantasy football. I'd much appreciate any info as to where I can find a list like this. Thank you.

Where can I find a 2007 NFL Fantasy Football KEEPER LEAGUE player ranking list?nba score

There really isn't one.

In part, this is because there are so many formulas for designating keepers. Many leagues won't let you keep a first round player. A common setting is to penalize two rounds above where a player is drafted. Hence a fourth round drafted keeper will cost you your second round draft choice.

You can have a look at Footballguys.com. They have some decent material on the subject.

I try to keep a mid round pick, say 5-8 with high potential to start. Someone like Maroney. He was drafted in the mid rounds, and will now take over for Dillon. I almost always find a way to keep a RB.

We can't help you too much on this I'm afraid, not knowing how your league is set up.

Where can I find a 2007 NFL Fantasy Football KEEPER LEAGUE player ranking list?jerseys ,nba teams

Honestly the best place to find info on keeper leagues can be found in the MANY fantasy football magazines published on a weekly basis. The book that I live and swear by is Athlon Sports, they seem to have the most consistant rankings year in and out. The most recent issue (the one with Tomlinson on it) didn't cover keeper leagues this issue, but did provide info in player profiles for keeper potential, but by mid-July you can be assured it will have alot more of the info and analysis you are looking for next issue. Hope this helps you, good luck this season!!!
you can't, no one can predict the stats of player's two, three years in the future. You have to keep in mind injures, the drafts each year, team gains and loses, trades, ect. too many variables to predict things many years later. sorry, just gunna have to make your choices based on the rankings for this season.

Should the public be allowed to vote for the NFL rookie of the week?

i.e. Trent Edwards is a mediocre QB at best and he won last week's polling while posting ordinary numbers. This week, the story is same. Much more deserving candidates are being jipped out because pranksters are stuffing the ballot box.

How do you feel about Pro Bowl balloting being open to the public?

Should the public be allowed to vote for the NFL rookie of the week?nba 07

Yes I mean why not if you are a football fan than yeah.

Should the public be allowed to vote for the NFL rookie of the week?sports tickets ,nba teams

no because their votes will be biased (more so than the ones who do vote)
That makes a lot of sense, and I wish it would happen; however, the first answer is correct. It would be worse. In a perfect world...........
YES the public should get the popular vote for all awards along with the Hall of Fame

Who is in favor of the NFL going to a 17 game schedule? If they do it shouldn't it be 18?

17 games mean some teams will have an extra home game and some teams would not. I guess they would alternate year to year. But why? Why not just do 18 games?

why? is the system broke? if they did they can cut out some of those punk *** preseason games and do them during the training camps
I like 16. Thanks for asking!
if they do 17 it will be 18 weeks and if its 18 games it will be 19 weeks... they probably will more than likely do 18 so the games are evenly spread thru the year
I think they should have a 13 game schedule cause I like that number
What do you want? 17 or 18 games?
Their season is long enough - they're not going to play every team unless they make it waaaaay too long, so just stick with 16. Plus your poor, crappy, nowhere near the playoffs teams would just suffer longer.

Which NFL team will have the deepest drop-off in the standings this coming season?

I'm going to go with the Colts. I predict they'll be in 3rd place in the AFC South this year.

BTW, I like the Colts. Not my favorites but I like them.

Which NFL team will have the deepest drop-off in the standings this coming season?nba tv

I've gotta agree with you on the Colts, they're a great team and Manning is an elite quarterback but I'm afraid they're beginning to decline. Largely to do with the loss of Marvin Harrison last season but if he doesn't return this season Manning is going to continue to struggle. He's a great quarterback but he just doesn't seem to me like one that can win big with little talent at wide out.

I also think Green Bay is going to struggle this year after the loss of Brett Favre.

Which NFL team will have the deepest drop-off in the standings this coming season?nba dunks ,nba teams

I don't think Dungee or Peyton will let that happen. I have the Texans worst in that division and the Titans just in front of them. I have the colst at first, but loosing on the Divisional playoffs.

The deepest drop-off I see are the Steelers who lost a key o-lineman and are going to struggle against the Browns and Bengals.

And the Redskins who are going against the Boys who will be awesome, and the Eagles who have three shut down corners, and SB champion Giants. They also have a very green coach and an owner who will sell the farm for one player one year to hang him out to dry the next. Shottenhimer, Williams, Lloyd, etc....

P.S. I hate the cowboys and Used to be a redskin fan. I have to give props when their due.
i will say the seahawks they are in the weakest division in the west the biggest pick up spot will be arizons cardinals the browns will win division and possibly more the browns picked up a godd defensive player from the packs in corey williams he will make a difference in my book all the people say the packs well think again rodgers had three years sit on the bench and come on thurs night game and play excellent in prime time i have very good feeling he has alot more to prove rodgers will be ok and play very good alot of people just like to put pressure on him because of favre not being with the packs thats ok because no matter what i see from last year green bay is actually the youngest team out there and they building a foundation of being the best ...........1.seahawks

2.giants

3.jags those r my three teams could drop off fast
I think the Patriots will have a sharp drop off. Think about it, they were the first team in NFL history to go 16-0. They have lost some key personnel, including one of the best CBs in the NFL. It would be a huge dropoff even if they won a very respectable 11-12 games.

I don't see the Packers dropping off that much as many suggest. Rodgers isn't a rookie QB and has been learning the Packers WCO for 3 years now behind one of the best QBs to ever play the game. He showed he is ready when he faced the Cowboys filling in for injured Brett Favre. I think they will win 10-11 games this year. I don't see the Patriots winning more than 12.
The giants will have the biggest fall-out next year even after winning the Superbowl. The bowl was a lucky win. some how the most inconsistent player in the NFL (Eli "Coward" Manning) luckily pulled W's out of his a$$ once the post season came along. The Division will be Eagles, Cowgirls, Redskins, Giants. and the Giants will win a maximum of 6 games. BOOK IT!
I'm not a hater, but I have a hard time believing that the Browns are really as good as last year.

I think Jamal Lewis' season was an anomaly. I don't think their defense is good enought to sustain them against a harder schedule. Other teams in the division should rebound some and pin losses on them.

Browns for me.
In terms of record I'd definitely take 13-3 Green Bay. But in terms of standings, it's a harder choice. Green Bay seems likely to drop at least one spot, but I'm not sure that Chicago or Detroit will overtake them. Pittsburgh's at risk of falling, too. I think I'll take the Giants, though, just because they're in such a tough division and I don't see them getting any better. They could go 8-8 and finish last in the NFC east.

I don't see how someone could take Miami... where are they going to drop to?
Seattle Seahawks. They're past their prime, Holmgren has his thoughts off in La-La retirement land, and in this, the twilight years of the team, they will come up short of any type of postseason drive next season.
When i first read this I started thinking Packers. But for some reason, i feel like Rogers has a lot to prove this year and will step up into his role this year. So I'll say either Colts or Giants, its a toss-up.
Green Bay because Brett Favre had a majical season and Aaron Rogers has shown hes not ready to step up and produce.
Giants will be 4th place and might only win 5 games

Colts will be close - 3rd place. They'll suck, too.
Seattle Seahawks
The Chargers and the Packers.
Browns, Green bay and of course the Giants.
third place? think again sweetie.

Who was the nfl QB that was slammed to the ground well after the play was blown dead?

I was telling my boy about that but I cant remember the two players involved I think it was close to ten years ago but maybe not quite that long. The play was blown dead and the QB and the defensive player were standing alone in the backfield when the defensive player wrapped up the QB and slammed him into the ground on his side. does anyone remember that incident?

Iam not sure but I think it was Brett Farve playing the Cardnals and he got rocked on tat play.
Terry Bradshaw of the Steelers just threw the ball %26amp; Ed "Turkey" Jones of the Browns picked Bradshaw up %26amp; flipped him over %26amp; slammed him to the ground head first well after the play. It nearly started a riot. Jack Lambert of the Steelers had to be physically restrained. Jones is lucky this took place in Cleveland, he wouldn't have made it out of Pittsburgh alive. Bradshaw had to be carried off on a stretcher. This was much more than 10yrs. ago. It was back in the '70's.
Jim mcmahon, in Green Bay tore his rotator cuff

Years ago? I recall it happened to Jim McMahon in one of the worst cases of unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike behavior I've ever seen. The play was dead and McMahon was slammed to the ground by Packers player (now deceased), it seriously injured him and he was never the same after that injury.

Skins over the Hawks. Is Jag favored over Pitt?
Playoffs?????your talking about the playoffs????Playoffs??? LOL. Well I think the Skins over the Seahawks.

Jaguars over The Squealers

Giants over the Bucs

Sorry, I had to pick these 3 cause I hope it turns out that way!!
i would have to go with jax over the steelers because the steelers are coming off a loss to the ravens.

jax 31, pitt 28
Who really cares?? I haven't heard enough of an outcry for New England cheating their way to an 'undefeated' season, so football is now a NON-ENTITY in my life.
I agree with you on the Skins beating the coffee slurping Seattle Seahawks cause Todd Collins and the Skins D are just on fire so is Sean Taylor's presence on them. Love you 21.
i don't know***
I think the Skins beating the Seahawks is possible but Jax going on the road and beating Pittsburgh again could be interesting
The Skins beating the Seahawks
My choice would be Bucs beating Giants. 鈥睠ause if Giants play as they did vs. Pats, witch I think they will or even better, they will win over the Bucs .
Well I can't actually call it an upset...

But the Steelers beating the Jags. The Steelers are at home and aren't even favored to win their own game. With Starks and Parker out, it could be a big upset if the Steelers pull this one out.

Besides for that, Tennessee beating the Chargers. It shouldn't happen, I know it shouldn't, but they almost beat them a couple weeks earlier with that questionable catch by Chris Chambers.

Good luck!!
I don't think the Redskins winning is an upset despite the seedings. Seattle has played a week schedule and the Skins are playing much better coming down the stretch. I think the upset is Tennessee over SD. The Titans almost beat the Chargers a few weeks ago and SD is a notorious playoff choke.
you consider the Giants beating the Bucs an upset? hmm..interesting. I would consider the Buc beating the Giants an upset.

The Skins will not win against the Seahawks....
I think the Steelers have a good chance at upsetting the Jaguars. I think around 75% are picking the Jags but its at Pittsburgh in Pittsburghs weather conditons. Yea, the jags won last time but this is when it counts. It was a close game back then.
SKINS ROCK!!!
I think there are only two possible upsets cause the other two wouldn't really be upsets.

Washington over Seattle

Tennessee over San Diego

I don't think Tennessee has a shot so i'd agree with Washington having the best chance.

It was 73-0 in the NFL Championship of 1940; Chicago over Washington. I am avid reader of stats, especially football records. Also, I had a friend that actually played in that game. He told me that one of the Redskin's best receivers broke his ribs after he nearly caught a touchdown pass. He played in the NFL for ten seasons. He also was a pro softball fast pitch pitcher. His name was Leroy Zimmerman.

Best answer?? Sorry but it was Chris Simms, son of Phil Simms who played with the ruptered spleen Report It

Brett Favre he has been hit by some nastey defensive linemen, safeteys, linebackers, pretty much every single position on the defensive side of the ball.
There are 4 stories that I can give.

1. Bobby Layne was once hit by two guys, and broke 3 ribs. On the next play, he threw a touchdown pass that won a game for the Lions.

2. Johnny Unitas was hit in the face, and broke his nose. He played the rest of the game, and won.

3. Sammy Baugh broke his nose in a game, and continued to play BOTH ways, not only throwing 2 touchdowns, but getting an interception on defense.

4. Don Meredith, with the Cowboys, played the last half of his last game with a broken rib that punctured one of his lungs. If that's not tough, I don't know what is.
Brett Favre has the games started streak...Its him...
GeorgeBlanda/Bobby Lane. It's too hard to say which of these guys was the toughest.
Steve Young. Ran alot, slid a little, sometimes can't remember his name. Coincidence? No, just a tough guy.
Ryan Leaf. Hey, you have to be tough to suck like that and take all that criticism.
Toughest QB has to be David Carr. Did you see how many times he got sack while with Houstan?
Brett Favre
Terry Bradshaw. He was the meanest, toughest of them all. After that I would have to go with Dan Fouts.
It be deadlock between John Elway and Steve Young. But I'll lean slightly over more to Steve Young due to the amount of concussions he has over Elway. They both were surrounded with a very good O-line and running game yet they both scrambled "constantly" for the first down when nothing opened up down fied. Oh yeah! they both still won Super Bowls.
Favre or the late great Johnny Unitas
I would definitely put Jim McMahon up there he was brutalized in his career. Also the underrated David Carr who has been sacked 249 times and only missed 4 games in 5 years.
farve all day
My vote is Jim Kelly
Its not even a question, you have to go with the man with the streak. Favre.

How high will Dennis Dixon get drafted in the NFL Draft?nba finals 2007 ,nba teams

I think he will be drafted later in the first round by maybe the Packers looking for someone to play behind rodgers when favre leaves.
like first or second round
You should have ended the sentence with a question mark after the word "get".
i thought he was a Jr*********
He will be picked in the early second round because his ACL makes him to much of a risk to use a top 16 pick on and as a rule, the upper half of the league already has a good quarterback and doesn't need to draft a new one.
3rd round. i hate to say it but hes not that great.
He's not on the top 5 on Mel Kiper's top quarterback list.
6'th round flop.
Somewhere between 5th round and free agent. If Chris Leak got a shot, anything that even looks like a QB will.
the lions should take him in the 1st round but they are to dumb to see real talent
Probably third round, maybe sooner if he impresses at the NFL compound. Whoever gets him will be getting a bargain. I had him surprising the country and getting the Heisman until he went down.
Tearing your ACL is a major reason for not getting picked in the first or second round. Heck, he didn't even get hit when he hurt it. He tore it just running the ball. Picture ol chicken legs getting sacked by an All Pro NFL linebacker - Dead Meat. After the draft is over, I believe they have a free agent status - that's where I predict he will get picked up.

Who Is The Best Running Back So Far In The NFL?

I think Peterson is. He ran for 296 yards and 3 touchdowns yesterday! Opinions?

Who Is The Best Running Back So Far In The NFL?nba playoffs

This year it's definitely Peterson. Though I still think LaDanian is right up there. Either way, they are both very entertaining to watch. We'll see how Peterson does in the years to come, if he can sustain this level. Then he will easily become the best back in the NFL. The Vikes are a pretty crappy team. So if he can make great runs with a bad team, like Barry Sanders was able to do with the horrible Lions, then his future is bright.

Barry Sanders is my all time favorite player to watch. He would have easily shattered the all time rushing record had he played with an even decent team or played as many years as Emmitt Smith, whom had one of the best offensive lines in his day.

Who Is The Best Running Back So Far In The NFL?nba basketball ,nba teams

Currently it's LT. The day Peterson had was a major outlier with regard to his mean and median performance.

In history I would take Jim Brown or Earl Campbell.
I totally agree! Adrian Peterson ALL THE WAY! :)
for the season westbrook he does everything run and catch then id say a close second is addai but peterson is def a strong runner and i think as the talent of the team rises he will to then he will become an elite like LT and the names above and a few others
in the NFL right now its LT and a suprisingly close second is AP

but all time my list goes

#1 barry sanders

#2 jim brown

#3 earl campbell

#4 walter payton

#5 LT/marshall faulk
I wouldn't call a rookie the best RB in the NFL...but I think he has Rookie of the Year wrapped up...
Agree he's the one ?
ADRIAN PETERSON

hes got the rookie of the year locked up
You are freaking nuts. there is no way you can call a rookie the best ever. When he comes close to Barry Sanders in, let's say, TEN YEARS from now you, then, will be allowed to ask that question.
Well the best running back this season has been Joseph Addai. But I will give you Adrian Peterson as the hottest running back right now. No one can stop him but that will change. Reggie Bush and the Saints had a great year last year but when defenses adjusted they slowed them down.
i think so too.
peterson is carrying that team and may get so many yards that he gets the mvp. He has rookie of the year already they just have to put his name on the trophy and send it to him.
Peterson is off to an impressive start, but he has yet to show the consistency year-in and year-out that Tomlinson has.

All-time, I'd take Barry Sanders.
Adrian Peterson -- Broke an all time NFL record yesterday. And he's only a rookie!
Brian Westbrook. The man is carrying the Eagles.
I would say that he is CURRENTLY the best in the NFL.

What do NFL teams do with used equipment?

I am wanting to buy a used helmet from my home team and have no idea where to go other than a broker.

What do NFL teams do with used equipment?college basketball

Man, they sell these items for more than double their cost new, just because it was used by some celebrity player on an NFL team. How would you know that the helmets are the real Mccoy?

What do NFL teams do with used equipment?college ,nba teams

in HS football, most of our equipment was from the seahawks.

i mean pads and such....

not the bruisers or anything like that.

and i believe the helmets were bought because of saftey rules.

hehh...i'm not sure about other teams though.
The used stuff is a rip-off. You can buy a brand-new authentic helmet for about $270 and it won't have someone else's sweat in it.
they clean them up and sell

them.... I have a signed eagles

helmet from a play off game...

it was like 500 bucks....you might

first want to check a sports store at you mall

or an online sports store.....it'll prob be cheaper

=]
Sometimes they get donated to small colleges or universities. They are too big for youth leagues. I would try to call the team public relations office especially if you have a good verifiable purpose.
i think they donate the stuff

How does the NFL supplemental draft work?

i hear about the supplemental draft, which just happened, but have no idea how it works. how do players become elligible for it? How is the draft order determined? Why do they have it? Does it have any effect on the real draft?

How does the NFL supplemental draft work?nba 2k

The supplemental draft is for players who either were not eligible for the first draft due to age, needing to finish summer classes, whatever; or for players who chose NOT to enter the first draft, possibly due to injury or performance concerns.

The draft order is determined in similar fashion to the draft order for the main draft back in te spring, but they don't have the compensatory picks, nor do they trade picks. The order is striaght from finishing order, with no trades from year to year or other things that add and remove a team's picks.

As for why they have it, part of the reason is what I typed above about players, the other is that the NFL looks for another chance to sign players that can make an impact, and this supplemental draft is like a closing sale at a store. It is the last chance to pick up players fromcollegebefore the season starts (not counting undrafted free agents who have likely already been invited to camps) and it is possible to get some bargains.

It effects next years draft because any team that takes a player in the supplemental draft then gives up their draft pick in next years draft. Cinncinnati took a LB in the thrid round, so they then give up next years third round pick.

What this all means is that teams interested in the very small numbers of supplemental draftees have to decide what value in next year's draft a player would have, as well as what other teams would likely value him. Cinncinnati igured someone ahead of them would have taken Brooks in the fourth round, so if they wanted him they needed to take him in the third round. As a result, supplemental drafts go much faster since most teams pass on a pick (and almost no first round picks are ever taken) and most teams make no picks in the supplemental draft.

Why is ESPN taking all the suspense from the NFL draft?

ok, its cool if they find out, but first jake long and now chris long.

if your gonna build up this event, then keep your mouth shut so i can at least have a reason for watching.

just cause they know the pick doesnt mean they have to ruin it for us.

Why is ESPN taking all the suspense from the NFL draft?2006 nba draft

agree..I feel the pre-draft analysis is horrible and useless. Find it boring listening to a bunch of guys "projecting" who will go 23rd, 45th, etc...

I just wait for the draft, or if I have other things to do (which is likely) will find out later on.

Why is ESPN taking all the suspense from the NFL draft?nba schedule ,nba teams

its just two players

I had no problem with Jake being signed, but I agree it wasnt necessary to tell everyone the Rams are taking Chris.

As a Rams fan I wasnt really all that pumped for our first pick, I mean the suspense was taken away for the most part anyways
yeah it's pretty annoying. I don't blame ESPN for telling us, i blame Miami and St. Louis for telling ESPN.

There was no reason for Miami to anounce they were picking jake long five days early. They have the first pick. No one is going to take jake long before them. Why do they need to sign him five days before the draft?
Agree with ya .The reason they signed him 5 days ahead is they didnt want to sign him 2 or 3 weeks after training camp starts. Whens the last time a 1st rd pick was signed before training camp and how often does it happen ?
Yeah, that blows. Hopefully they don't break anything about Atlanta. Just turn ESPN off until a couple minutes before the draft
It's being broadcast on NFL Network as well and they all want to be the guy who broke the story. NFL Network said Chris Long to the Rams last night.

How many people have myspace and how many real NFL players have accepted your requests?

...Uh...Hate to break it to you, but most likely they are just fans...Unless it specifies a player's official page, in which case there would be people handling the page for the player...not the player himself...

I haven't seen any actual football players on myspace.
i have one but only for communicating with a friend who moved --I normally can't stand the site

the only play I am positive has one is Chad Johnson (there's a link from his official site) ---I've heard alot of the ones of lesser-known(and younger) guys are real though (as they might actually have time to do it).
