Who is the toughest quarter back to ever play in the NFl?

we know of Brett Favre and Steve McNair playing through injuries, we have seen Donovan McNabb playing while sick and puking between plays, we have seen the famous run by Steve young breaking tackles on his way to the end zone, we have seen some of the amazing plays and tough hits taken by warren moon, we have even seen Randall Cunningham slough tackles and make great throws many of us remember Joe Montana dislocating his throwing shoulder and playing the rest of the game throwing only short dump and swing passes and hand offs. so who was the toughest iron man to play quarter back. one of these or someone i have missed? cant wait to see the answers i get.

Who is the toughest quarter back to ever play in the NFl?basketball shoes

What about Brian Griese, who played a Whole second half of a game last year with a RUPTURED SPLEEN!?!?!

Who is the toughest quarter back to ever play in the NFl?nba champions ,nba teams

Best answer?? Sorry but it was Chris Simms, son of Phil Simms who played with the ruptered spleen Report It

Brett Favre he has been hit by some nastey defensive linemen, safeteys, linebackers, pretty much every single position on the defensive side of the ball.
There are 4 stories that I can give.

1. Bobby Layne was once hit by two guys, and broke 3 ribs. On the next play, he threw a touchdown pass that won a game for the Lions.

2. Johnny Unitas was hit in the face, and broke his nose. He played the rest of the game, and won.

3. Sammy Baugh broke his nose in a game, and continued to play BOTH ways, not only throwing 2 touchdowns, but getting an interception on defense.

4. Don Meredith, with the Cowboys, played the last half of his last game with a broken rib that punctured one of his lungs. If that's not tough, I don't know what is.
Brett Favre has the games started streak...Its him...
GeorgeBlanda/Bobby Lane. It's too hard to say which of these guys was the toughest.
Steve Young. Ran alot, slid a little, sometimes can't remember his name. Coincidence? No, just a tough guy.
Ryan Leaf. Hey, you have to be tough to suck like that and take all that criticism.
Toughest QB has to be David Carr. Did you see how many times he got sack while with Houstan?
Brett Favre
Terry Bradshaw. He was the meanest, toughest of them all. After that I would have to go with Dan Fouts.
It be deadlock between John Elway and Steve Young. But I'll lean slightly over more to Steve Young due to the amount of concussions he has over Elway. They both were surrounded with a very good O-line and running game yet they both scrambled "constantly" for the first down when nothing opened up down fied. Oh yeah! they both still won Super Bowls.
Favre or the late great Johnny Unitas
I would definitely put Jim McMahon up there he was brutalized in his career. Also the underrated David Carr who has been sacked 249 times and only missed 4 games in 5 years.
farve all day
My vote is Jim Kelly
Its not even a question, you have to go with the man with the streak. Favre.
